Creu Cegin mwd - Create a Mudd kitchen

Casglwch rai hen bowlenni, llwyau, potiau a sosbenni i wneud cegin fwd yn eich gardd. Bydd plant wrth eu boddau yn cael eu dwylo'n fudr wrth iddyn nhw sgwennu, tywallt yn y mwd sgleiniog. Anogwch nhw i ychwanegu eitemau naturiol fel eira, ffyn, dail wedi disgyn a phetalau. Mae'n ffordd wych o annog creadigrwydd wrth iddyn nhw ddychmygu pob math o ryseitiau y gallan nhw eu gwneud.

Gather some old bowls, spoons, pots and pans to make a mud kitchen in your garden. Children will love getting their hands dirty as they scoop, pour and stir gloopy mud. Encourage them to add natural items to their play such as sticks, fallen leaves and petals. It’s a wonderful way to encourage creativity as they imagine all sorts of recipes they can make.

Mud pies, pizza's and cakes

Ar ôl i'ch cegin gael ei sefydlu rydych chi'n barod i ddechrau gwneud rhai prydau mwdlyd. Mae peis mwd yn glasur ac rydyn ni wrth ein boddau yn gwneud Pitsas mwd hefyd. Yn syml, gwnewch gylch mawr, gwastad allan o fwd (dyma'ch sylfaen am y pitsas) a chasglu rhai toppings i'w roi arno, fel petalau wedi disgyn, dail, cerrig mân a ffyn. Gallwch hefyd defnyddio eira am y sylfaen.

Rheol bwysig - Cofiwch, efallai bydd eich danteithion mwdlyd yn edrych yn blasus ond cadwch lygad barcud ar blant ifanc i wneud yn siŵr nad ydyn nhw'n eu bwyta. A bob amser golchwch eich dwylo pan fyddwch chi wedi gorffen chwarae yn y mwd.

Once your kitchen is set up you’re ready to start making some muddy meals. Mud pies are a classic and we love making mud pizzas too. Simply make a large, flat circle out of mud (this is your pizza base) and collect some toppings to put on it, such as fallen petals, leaves, pebbles and sticks.

For dessert, scoop some soil into cupcake cases and sprinkle chopped up grass or petals on the top. These will make beautiful looking mud cakes.

Important rule - Remember, your muddy treats might look tempting but keep a close eye on young children to make sure they don’t eat them. And always wash your hands when you’ve finished playing in the mud.

Cychod Naturiol - Natural Boats

Heriwch eich teulu i ras rafftiau!

1. Casglwch brigau tua'r un hyd.

2. Rhowch nhw mewn llinell a'u cyfuno â llinyn neu laswellt hir.

3. Slotiwch ffon unionsyth i ganol eich rafft – dyma fydd eich mast.
4. Cysylltwch deilen neu ddwy ar y ffon i wneud eich hwyliau.
Pan fyddant wedi gorffen, rhowch gynnig ar eich rafftiau allan ar pwdwl neu'r nant agosaf. Am her ychwanegol gyda’ch cychod beth am fynd draw i'r ardal gwyddoniaeth naturiol ni a heriwch eich cwch i sialens wyddonol !

Cliciwch fan hyn i mynd syth ir adran gwyddoniaeth naturiol ni!

Ar ôl gorffen, cofiwch fynd â'ch llinyn ac unrhyw ddeunyddiau crefft adref gyda chi i ddiogelu'r amgylchedd naturiol.

Rheol bwysig - Cadwch yn ddiogel. Cadwch lygad barcud ar blant bob amser pan fyddwch chi'n agos at ddŵr.

Challenge your family to a raft race with your own handmade boats.

1. Collect some twigs roughly the same length.

2. Place them in a line and fasten them together with string or long grass.

3. Slot an upright stick into the base of your raft – this will be your mast.

4. Thread a leaf or two onto the stick to make your sails.

When they're finished, try your rafts out on the nearest puddle or stream. For an extra challenge why not check out our natural science area and challenge your boat to an experiment!

When you've finished, remember to take your string and any craft materials home with you to protect the natural environment.

Important rule - Stay safe. Always keep a close eye on children when you're near water.

Mae'r llun uchod wedi cael ei creu gan arlunydd Cy Twombly, Mae e ddim ond yn defnyddio cyfryngau naturiol. Oes modd i chi creu llun gan defnyddio techneg tebyg i fe?

Cofiwch gofyn i oedolyn cyn pigo unrhywbeth dydch chi ddim yn siwr o.

The painting above was created by an American artist called Cy Twombly, the artist only uses natural media to create his art. Using similar methods to him can you try to create a piece of art using only the media from your garden?

Remember if you are unsure of anything you see to pick please make sure to ask an adult before doing so!
