Welcome
Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is a Primary school situated in Betws, Bridgend South Wales. We provide bilingual education for Cwm Garw and Cwm Ogwr and the surrounding area.
Our school moto at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is that everyone matters and everyone achieves. We offer a happy and caring environment where your child can feel safe and secure. The education we provide is carefully matched to the learning needs of individual children, pupil voice is of great importance to us. Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and happy environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop into responsible citizens and life long learners.

Ar ddydd Gwener 20fed o Fawrth 2026 byddwn yn dathlu Diwrnod Trwyn Coch. Mae croeso i’r plant wisgo coch i'r ysgol ar y diwrnod hwn neu unrhyw beth sy'n gysylltiedig â Comic Relief. Byddwn yn codi arian ac felly gofynnwn yn garedig am gyfraniad o £1 y gellir ei thalu ar School Gateway.
On Friday 20th of March 2026 we will be celebrating Red Nose Day. Children are welcome to wear red to school on this day or anything associated with Comic Relief. We will be raising money and therefore kindly ask for a donation of £1 payable via School Gateway. 1 Likes
Years 3 and 4 had a wonderful morning watching Lilo and Stitch (2025) at Blaengarw Workmen’s Hall. A huge thank you to @IntoFilm for showing it as part of the film festival. It was a lovely morning, finished off perfectly with a picnic in the sunshine ☀️🎬💜 1 Likes
