Welcome
Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is a Primary school situated in Betws, Bridgend South Wales. We provide bilingual education for Cwm Garw and Cwm Ogwr and the surrounding area.
Our school moto at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is that everyone matters and everyone achieves. We offer a happy and caring environment where your child can feel safe and secure. The education we provide is carefully matched to the learning needs of individual children, pupil voice is of great importance to us. Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and happy environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop into responsible citizens and life long learners.

Ar ddiwedd y tymor hwn, byddwn yn ffarwelio'n gynnes â'n Dirprwy Bennaeth, Miss Emma Bartlett, wrth iddi gychwyn ar bennod newydd gyffrous yn ei gyrfa.
Ers 17 mlynedd, mae Miss Bartlett wedi bod yn aelod gwerthfawr o gymuned ein hysgol, gan weithio'n ddiflino er budd ein disgyblion, staff a theuluoedd. Yn ystod ei chyfnod yma, mae wedi dangos ymrwymiad, arweinyddiaeth a gofal arbennig tuag at bawb o'i chwmpas. Mae ei hangerdd dros addysg a'i hymroddiad i sicrhau'r gorau i'n dysgwyr wedi gwneud cyfraniad sylweddol a pharhaol i fywyd yr ysgol.
Ym mis Medi, bydd Miss Bartlett yn dechrau ei rôl newydd fel Pennaeth Ysgol Creigiau. Er ein bod yn drist iawn o'i gweld yn gadael, rydym hefyd yn hynod falch o'i llwyddiant ac yn gwybod y bydd yn Bennaeth rhagorol.
Ar ran pawb yn yr ysgol, hoffem ddiolch yn ddiffuant i Miss Bartlett am ei gwaith caled, ei hymroddiad a'i chefnogaeth dros y blynyddoedd. Bydd colled fawr ar ei hôl ac fe fydd disgyblion, staff a theuluoedd fel ei gilydd yn ei cholli'n fawr.
Dymunwn bob llwyddiant, hapusrwydd a boddhad iddi yn ei rôl newydd, ac edrychwn ymlaen at glywed am ei llwyddiannau yn y dyfodol.

Farewell and Best Wishes!
At the end of this term, we will be saying a fond farewell to our Deputy Headteacher, Miss Emma Bartlett, as she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her career.
Having been a valued member of our school community for the past 17 years, Miss Bartlett has dedicated herself tirelessly to the pupils, staff and families of our school. Throughout her time with us, she has shown unwavering commitment, exceptional leadership and genuine care for everyone around her. Her passion for education and determination to ensure the very best for our learners have had a lasting impact on our school and community.
In September, Miss Bartlett will begin her new role as Headteacher at Ysgol Creigiau. While we are incredibly sad to see her leave, we are also immensely proud of her achievement and know that she will be an outstanding headteacher.

The PIPYN programme supports families with children age 3-10 years and delivers fun and interactive sessions around healthy eating, increasing activity levels, aiding sleep, managing fussy eating and reducing screen time. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time as a family in our weekly sessions for 7 weeks starting Tuesday 8th September 2-4pm .
The only criteria is that one child is aged between 3-10 years old but all siblings are welcome regardless of age. At least one parent/carer is required to attend.
