Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is a Primary school situated in Betws, Bridgend South Wales. We provide bilingual education for Cwm Garw and Cwm Ogwr and the surrounding area.
Our school moto at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Calon Y Cymoedd is that everyone matters and everyone achieves. We offer a happy and caring environment where your child can feel safe and secure. The education we provide is carefully matched to the learning needs of individual children, pupil voice is of great importance to us. Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and happy environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop into responsible citizens and life long learners.

We’re looking forward to our Community Day on Saturday 16th May, and we need your support! Parents, carers, families, and community members are warmly invited to join us in helping with activities around the school. Whether you can offer an hour or the whole morning, your help makes a huge difference.
We have many job that need doing including :-
* Painting and treating wood
* Gardening and removing stingy nettles
* Putting up a notice board
* Cleaning windows
* Moving outdoor and indoor resources
* Organising the storage unit
* Organise the school library

Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ein Diwrnod Cymunedol ar Ddydd Sadwrn 16 Mai, ac rydym angen eich cefnogaeth! Rydym yn croesawu rhieni, gofalwyr, teuluoedd a’r gymuned ehangach i ymuno â ni i helpu gyda gweithgareddau o amgylch yr ysgol. Boed gennych awr neu’r bore cyfan i’w gynnig, mae eich cymorth yn gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr.

Year 1 had a fantastic time in the forest today for our butterfly party. We’ve watched our caterpillars turn into butterflies over the past few weeks, and today we released them into the forest. We’ll be keeping an eye out for them during our weekly forest sessions🦋🐛🌳🔍 5 Likes
