We are going to run a food and fun programme the first three weeks of the summer holidays.

Mae gennym gyfle i’ch plentyn fynychu rhaglen Bwyd a Hwyl am 12 diwrnod ar ddechrau gwyliau’r haf eleni. Y dyddiadau ar gyfer y rhaglen fydd 22ain Gorffennaf i 8fed Awst o ddydd Llun i ddydd Iau 9.30am-2.30pm.
Nod y rhaglen yw bod disgyblion yn cael nifer o weithgareddau hwyliog dros y 12 diwrnod yn cynnwys cyflwyno sesiynau maeth a gweithgareddau chwaraeon (o leiaf 1 awr y dydd).
Anogir disgyblion i wisgo dillad priodol a fydd yn eu galluogi i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau ymarfer corff yn gyfforddus. Bydd y disgyblion yn cael brecwast iach a chinio am ddim, a byddwch yn cael eich gwahodd i ymuno â ni am ginio gyda'r plant ar Ddydd Iau os ydych chi'n gallu.

Dear Parent / Carer,
We have the opportunity for your child to attend a Food and Fun programme for 12 days at the start of the summer holidays this year. The dates for the programme will be 22nd July to 8th August Monday to Thursday 9.30 am-2.30pm.
The aim of the programme is that pupils are provided with several fun activities across the 12 days involving the delivery of nutrition sessions and sporting activities (at least 1 hour per day).
Pupils will be encouraged to wear appropriate clothing that will enable them to take part in physical activities comfortably. Pupils will be provided with a free healthy breakfast and lunch, and you will be invited to join us for lunch with the children on a Thursday if you are able to make it

What is Food and Fun?
Food and Fun is a school-based education programme that provides food and nutrition education, physical activity, enrichment sessions and healthy meals to children during the school summer holidays.
Starting as a pilot run by Cardiff Council in 2015, Food and Fun has developed into a national, fully funded Welsh Government programme administered by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA). In 2022, 139 schools delivered the programme and provided over 7800 places for children each day that it ran.
The Welsh Government has committed to fund SHEP in 2023 with £4.85m allocated in the budget. The WLGA will continue to coordinate the roll-out by working closely with local authorities and partner agencies.

As a school we have been thinking of ways to save money for you as parents and raise funds for our school. How would you feel about us trialing a member of staff taking individual photos of your child in place of colorfoto? These will be taken with a professional camera. The cost of these will be £5 per photo per child and you will receive a digital print through your child’s hwb account. You will then be able to print as many copies as you would like. We can also facilitate sibling photos if their sibling attends our school at a cost of £5?
Money raised will allow us to use it towards trips and bus costs to reduce the fee for you as parents and enable us to continue to provide hands on experiences for our learners.

MISP (Massage In Schools Programme) is a pupil to pupil massage programme which promotes wellbeing. During the club your child will learn to develop mutual respect and child massage skills.
